The NKOTB stars have aligned. Mark Wahlberg joined his original music group, New Kids On The Block, on stage for the first time in twenty years. Not only did he join them on stage, but when “Good Vibrations” started playing over the house system, he stayed on the stage.
Mark, if you’re reading this, we apologize for calling you Marky Mark in our article, but that’s what you went by when you had Joey’s spot in NKOTB. We blame history!
Last night, Mark Wahlberg joined his band of brothers on stage at Madison Square Garden when 50 Cent (yes, 50 Cent was there too), came down into the crowd and pulled him up. Once “Good Vibrations” started playing over the sound system, we’re sure the crowd was worried that the reunion would come to an abrupt end. Instead, Mark humbly acknowledged his CK-inspired roots, hugging each member of NKOTB, and sticking around until the song ended. He didn’t go as far as rapping along to the track like we, and the band clearly hoped he would, but we’ll take what we can get!
With NKOTB’s Main Event tour hitting Boston on Wednesday, June 24th, and Thursday, June 25th, we can only pray that Mark will continue this trend at the Garden.
Fingers and toes crossed!
